French Honor Society
Club Description: The French Honor Society (La Société Honoraire de Francais) is an academic club which recognizes the achievement of highs school students in the French language. Students are required to have maintained a 3.0 minimum overall school wide grade point average (GPA) to join. Students must be enrolled in French 2, 3, 4, 5, or AP Language. IB students who have completed their French program as juniors in good standing may also join if they are returning members. Students must also be enrolled in a French course and maintain an A or B average in the French class for the entire duration of the school year. Students must also have a minimum conduct grade of a B in every class.
Requirements: Students participate in French cultural activities such as a trip to a French restaurant, International Night, and watching French films. This organization provides students opportunities to interact and participate in community service projects. Please see the club sponsor or your French teacher for an application at the beginning of the school year.
